Gothic Beauty for Dotty Vintage Weddings

February saw an amazing team of GlosWed suppliers join forces to create a styled photo shoot for the fab Dotty Vintage magazine.
The theme was Gothic Beauty and we were lucky enough to shoot at Lodge Park, a characteristic venue in the Cotswolds.

When the lovely Kate from Lavender and Linen asked me to be a part of the team I jumped at the chance as it was an opportunity to do something slightly different than normal, and gave me the chance to be a little bit more creative. Wilden Bride provided us with some beautiful bespoke dresses which also meant we were able to create a couple of different looks.

Our first look saw a nice subtle base make up with some heavy smoky eyes, created by the very talented Samantha Davis. A tightly crimped updo, with a touch of 1940’s inspiration for the hair,  complemented by a stunning hand crafted crown by Donna from Posy and Pearl and floral head crown created by Grace from Bramble and Wild.

For the second look, I let the hair tumble for a soft relaxed ‘down do’ and the make up was jazzed up a bit with a slick of dark cherry red on the lips.

We were privileged to have the shoot recorded by Hugh from Hugh Farrow Films, with his signature vintage style which you can view on his website.
With beautiful stationery provided by Siobahn from White Hanami and tasty cakes from The Cake Chemists.
